About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and committed Family Solicitor with 1–3 years' PQE to join a dedicated team of family law solicitors and barristers in London.
This is an opportunity for someone who wants their work to mean more than simply completing a caseload. The firm is committed to improving the family justice system and making a meaningful difference to the lives of parents and children, with a particular focus on representing victims and survivors of domestic abuse.
We are looking for someone who genuinely shares these values and wants to build a long-term career within this area of law.
The Role
You will work alongside experienced family solicitors and barristers on a varied caseload, with particular exposure to private law children and financial remedy matters involving privately funded clients.
The role offers excellent training, hands-on supervision and the opportunity to become involved in complex and high-profile cases.
You will be responsible for:
- Managing your own caseload with appropriate supervision and support.
- Handling private law children and financial remedy matters.
- Acting for privately funded clients.
- Drafting high-quality correspondence, statements, applications and other legal documentation.
- Providing sensitive, professional and compassionate client care.
- Maintaining accurate time recording and billing records.
- Managing deadlines and competing priorities effectively.
- Working collaboratively with solicitors, barristers and colleagues.
- Taking ownership of your work and actively developing your legal knowledge and skills.
About You
We are looking for a passionate and committed Family Solicitor who genuinely cares about the work they do and the clients they represent.
You will ideally have:
- 1–3 years' PQE in family law.
- Experience in private law children and financial remedy matters.
- Experience acting for privately funded clients.
- Strong drafting, client-care and organisational skills.
- Excellent time-recording and case-management skills.
- A proactive, self-starting approach with the ability to work independently.
- A genuine passion for supporting families and, in particular, victims and survivors of domestic abuse.
- A team-player mentality, with a willingness to support colleagues and contribute positively to the wider team.
- The ambition to build a long-term career within family law.
