Job Title: Criminal Solicitor / Paralegal (Newly Qualified)

Salary: £28,000-£38,000 (DOE)
Working Pattern: Hybrid – 2 days working from home
Experience Required: Newly Qualified Solicitor or Experienced Paralegal

About the Role

We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic Criminal Solicitor (NQ) or Paralegal to join our busy criminal defence team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the early stages of their legal career to gain hands-on experience across a broad range of criminal matters within a supportive and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting with a varied caseload of criminal matters, including:
• • Police station attendances
  • Magistrates’ Court matters
  • Crown Court cases
• Supporting senior solicitors with case preparation
• Drafting legal documents and correspondence
• Liaising with clients, counsel, courts, and external agencies
• Attending court hearings and police stations where appropriate
• Ensuring high standards of client care and confidentiality

Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) or experienced Paralegal in criminal law
• Police Station Accreditation (desirable, not essential)
• Strong interest in criminal law and defence work
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure and manage competing deadlines
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• A proactive and committed approach to client service
