David Verbiest’s journey in SAP is powered by one constant: motivation. Without a traditional technical degree, he built his career through determination, curiosity, and a commitment to continuous learning. Starting as a SAP Basis engineer, he developed deep technical expertise by actively seeking challenges, learning on the job, and taking ownership of complex projects.

This drive allowed him to grow far beyond his initial role. David evolved from SAP technical engineer to team lead and now combines a SAP expert role with pre‑sales consultancy. His path shows how motivation—more than background—can fuel technical excellence and open the door to new responsibilities and career growth.

From SAP BC Consultant to Team Lead

Pieter Custers started at oXya as SAP BC Consultant and is now leading a team of technical specialists. In this role, he leads and organizes a team of 6 to 8 IT experts, based on customer needs, ensuring the timely service delivery of projects. Besides managing his team, he is participating in more complex technical upgrades and migration projects, which ensures an up-to-date hands-on technical knowledge.

At oXya, leadership and technical depth go together. New colleagues learn from experienced team members, developing broad skills across systems, databases, and cloud environments in a supportive, knowledge‑driven culture.

Martine De Koninck brings clarity and structure to the organization. As Office Manager, she oversees HR administration, accounting, fleet coordination, facilities, and team events, creating an environment where colleagues can focus and perform with confidence.

With strong planning and organizational skills, Martine combines clear communication and proactive problem‑solving. She establishes clear agreements while remaining flexible where possible.

Marnix Verberckmoes brings extensive financial and IT‑sector experience to his role as Managing Director, leading oXya across the Benelux, UK, Denmark, and Spain. With a strong international background and a people‑focused mindset, he builds leadership on trust, autonomy, and empowered teams.
