Position Overview:

This role involves leading and executing advanced process control (APC) strategies within oil & gas, petrochemical, or chemical production facilities utilizing the Honeywell suite of solutions. The engineer is responsible for optimizing plant performance and reliability, integrating process control methodologies, and supporting process safety measures in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary environment in Yanbu, Saudi Arabia

• Hands-on experience with Advanced Process Control implementation and support

• Familiarity with Real-Time Optimization, Performance Monitoring and First Principal modeling

Act as a bridge between client operations teams and engineering teams, ensuring seamless communication and timely resolution of issues.

Provide pre-sales technical support, including site assessments, feasibility evaluations, and client workshops.

Contribute to the development of technical proposals, including scope definition, architecture design, and control strategy outlines.

Lead efforts in project estimation, risk identification, and contingency planning during the bidding phase.

Strong proficiency in English is essential for technical documentation, cross-team collaboration, and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.

• Hands-on expertise in Honeywell Forge APC (formerly Honeywell Profit Suite), including configuration, tuning, commissioning, and lifecycle support of RMPCT (Robust Model Predictive Control Technology).

• Deep understanding of Advanced Process Control (APC), Real-Time Optimization (RTO), Performance Monitoring, and First Principles Modeling.

• Proven experience in design, deployment, and support of production accounting solutions and integrated planning & scheduling systems.

• Knowledge of value chain optimization across refining and petrochemical operations, with experience in margin improvement through APC and RTO integration.

• Familiarity with process modeling tools such as:

• Aspen GDOT, KBC Petro-SIM, Technip SPYRO, AVEVAl ROMeo is a plus.

• " Proficient in a range of APC platforms including:

• Honeywell RMPCT, Aspen DMCplus, Rockwell Pavilion, Yokogawa SMOC, AVEVA APC

• " Working knowledge of automation-IT integration, including OPC and industrial data protocols.

Proficient in installation, configuration, and licensing of COTS (Commercial Off-the-Shelf Software) in secure industrial environments.

• " Capable of performing root cause analysis (RCA) using plant-wide historian data and APC dashboards.

• " Familiar with cybersecurity requirements for industrial software environments and site installations.

• " Conversant with standard industrial communication protocols such as OPC (DA, UA), ODBC, OLEDB, API-based integration.
