Established in 1974, our client has built an outstanding reputation for delivering high-quality vehicle servicing, repairs, and customer service. Due to continued growth, they have recently relocated to a modern, fully equipped workshop and are looking to expand their experienced team by recruiting a skilled Vehicle Technician.

The Role
As a Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out servicing, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of vehicles, ensuring all work is completed to manufacturer standards and within agreed timescales.
Working alongside an experienced workshop team, you will take pride in producing high-quality workmanship while delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of vehicle makes and models.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using modern diagnostic equipment.
- Complete vehicle inspections and health checks.
- Carry out repairs including brakes, suspension, steering, clutches, timing belts, engines, and other mechanical components.
- Prepare vehicles for MOT testing and complete any necessary repairs.
- Ensure all work is completed efficiently and to the highest standard.
- Accurately complete job cards and workshop documentation.
- Follow all health and safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment.
- Work effectively as part of a busy and professional team.
Candidate Requirements
- A minimum of 4 years' experience working as a Vehicle Technician.
- Qualified Vehicle Technician (Level 3), or
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair is preferred; however, candidates with significant relevant experience are also encouraged to apply. Full training and ongoing development will be provided.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- Excellent mechanical knowledge and attention to detail.
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- A full UK Driving Licence.
- An MOT Tester Licence (Class 4) is advantageous but not essential.
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday
- 8:00am – 5:30pm
- 1-hour paid lunch break
- Overtime available
